The Most Important Brain Pain

By: Miley, Sami, Miles, Alec, & Jessica
We thought it was going to be a normal day, until MATH came! Miss Hansen started teaching us about double-digit by double-digit numbers.
We thought it was easy at first, until we got the PAPER! It was even hard to breath! That’s when we became confused. Almost the whole class was ready to have their head fall off in line for Miss Hansen’s desk. That’s when the terror of the brain pain started.
Every one had a headache, including Miss Hansen. It was so hard that Miss Hansen had us stop. She said, “Wait, this is too confusing.”
Mrs. Campbell offered to teach us double digit by double digit. She came in and taught us when her class was at library. She taught us the zero’s trick. After that we practiced on a grid paper. We all lived. NO brain pain ever after.

The Most Important Dog

Flying Fido

By: Chloe, Nate, Christian, & Brianna

We found a news article on Fido the flying dog.
This amazing dog can jump 25 feet 6 inches! People
say it looks like he’s flying! That’s probably how he got his
nickname. This dog’s longest jump is 28 feet 8 inches. Wow!
This dog is crazy for water. His owner can’t keep him out! When
the other dogs jump in he gets really jealous. He struggles to stay out.
When the owner lets go he shoots off the deck!
This dog has a top speed of 34 mph. This big dog has to
go all around the world to compete. But every time he accomplishes a lot
of things. Don’t you wish Flying Fido was your dog?

The Most Important Teacher

THE MOST IMPORTANT TEACHER…MISS HANSEN

By: Kaleb, Kelsey, Alicia, & Easton

Miss Hansen used to love bugs…now she HATES them! When she was little she caught bugs and snakes. She used to bring a backpack and go into a field, pretending to be an explorer. She would search for bugs and snakes. It goes from LOVED bugs to dislikes bugs! Also, she hates reptiles such as…snakes.

Miss Hansen is a 4th grade teacher. She teaches math, science and language arts. She’s VERY smart! Miss Hansen works hard on preparing and teaching her lessons. We need to respect and thank her for teaching us! Miss Hansen stays at school longer than we do. Sad but true…teachers DO make mistakes. It’s a good thing she has us to correct her!

Last Thanksgiving, Miss Hansen went to Hawaii with her friends. They went to a restaurant to eat. Miss Hansen and her friends went scuba diving. Miss Hansen saw a “big fish” It looked like Nemo. Miss Hansen panicked! She started swimming like crazy and started to drown.

The Most Important Read-A-Thon

By: Jamie, Caleb, Zac, & Mikaylin

The first thing we all did when we got here was word cards. It took about 15-20 minutes in all. After that, everyone found a good spot to read. We stared reading for about 5 minutes, then a lot of people got their snacks. Then we all kept reading. Then the bell rang and we all went to recess. When we all got back in we went back to our spots. Then started reading again. After that I (Caleb) went over to Miss Hansen's desk. She told me to take her camera and start taking pictures of everyone reading. I'm pretty sure I got a picture of everyone. Then we kept reading. After that, we went to lunch. After lunch, we went to I.L.S. When we all got back, we read even more. When we were done reading, we did math facts. When we finished math facts we did our cursive. After cursive, we went to computer. After computer we went to recess. Then cleaned up. After that, we went to music. We sang our songs for the 4th grade program. After that we went home.

The Most Important Fairy Tale

By: Kelsey Jane, Andrea, Cade, & Jesse

A long time ago, in a cottage on the mountainside sleeping beauty was fast asleep. She was having a terrible nightmare when Prince Charming woke her up by slapping her on the cheek when she was just about to be crowned queen.

The seven dwarves were busy cleaning the house when an odd visitor arrived. He said, "I am here to see a beautiful girl by the name of Sleeping Beauty. Is she here?" Dopey took him in to Sleeping Beauty and then left. The visitor took his coat off then gently kissed sleeping Beauty on the cheek. She woke with a start.

She cried. "Frankenstein! Oh, you are much better in person! Let's be forever!" And they happily went to New York on their honeymoon.

In New York, they had 3 kids, Alvin, Theodore, & Simon. One day, Alvin woke up screaming "Where is Theodore?" He had left a note on his pillow saying, "I went back home. Couldn't stand New York. Bye." Alvin and Simon went out to find two things. #1 Simon needed glasses. #2 the right sewer hole to find Theodore. Simon stayed in New York. After they found Theodore at the 7 dwarves' house, they went to get Simon in New York. They finally found him with Scooby Doo. They agreed to have Scooby as their pet. They went to get food and dog food. When they got back, Scooby was chewing on Cinderella's slipper!

They had to get it back to her. They decided that the icky sewer was the fastest way. This time, Simon came. When they flew out, of the sewer trouble was waiting. Finally, they hid in Cinderella's castle. That was a little too close.

Sleeping Beauty missed her soft, fluffy, bed back at the 3 dwarves' house. Frankenstein decided to go home. The 7 dwarves didn't want them back. Sleeping Beauty finally agreed to only sleep 7 extra hours everyday so they could move in. They agreed.

Cinderella came by to visit & say thanks for giving her slipper back. They had a big feast for dinner because she is a princess, so she probably likes feasts for dinner. They had apples (not the poison kind) and turkey. Cinderella went back home to Prince Charming.

Scooby Doo got a letter saying that he was needed to help solve a mystery. So he went back to New York. Everybody, even the 7 dwarves, were tired. Good night, everyone! Sweet Dreams!
